Existential isolation is a bitch

Invisibility is considered a superpower by those who haven’t lived feeling invisible to the world. Existential isolation is a harrowing and profoundly self-destructive experience of feeling completely disconnected from the world.

What makes this existential concept utterly soul-destroying is we outline the problem in indelible ink.

I’ve spent over two decades listening to people’s deepest fears and secrets regarding life, I feel blessed to have been trusted with access behind the main stage of human consciousness.

After much navel-gazing led I discovered an insidious and unfathomable pain that chaperoned my life. An indescribable sorrow resulting from being in the clutch of invisibility and nothingness. Fortunately, my fierce determination to understand and make peace with the chaos of life brought me into awareness.

I’m a fan of Irvine Yolam; this quote makes sense to me

“Existential isolation impregnates the “paste of things” and hides within our lived experience, and we experience only a world of everydayness and routine activities. “We are lulled into a sense of cosy, familiar belongingness; the primordial world of vast emptiness and isolation is buried and silenced, only to speak in brief bursts, during nightmares and mythic visions.”
